Long Summary

The article examines the mental and physical distress experienced by male informal caregivers in the U.S. It finds that male caregivers are more likely to report disruptions in their daily lives due to health-related issues compared to female caregivers and non-caregiving males. The study also highlights discrepancies among different racial and ethnic groups, with Asian and Latino male caregivers facing higher risks of these interferences. The findings suggest the need for targeted support and interventions to address these disproportions and improve the wellbeing of male caregivers
