Long Summary

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in social and economic challenges for carers including increased caring responsibilities and mental health stressors as well as reduced access to services and ability to partake in employment and education. Widespread social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have prompted organisations to conduct research into the experiences of carers and care recipients. Evidence has shown that carers are experiencing critical levels of stress due to the pressure of increased caring responsibilities, uncertain information, unstable finances, reduced access to services, and loss of social and recreational support.
