Long Summary

This article looks at the experiences of older people from ethnic minority backgrounds (aged 60 and over) and their caregivers in Western countries. As the global population ages and migration increases, there is a growing need for care that respects cultural differences. However, people from ethnic minorities often use care services less and face unique challenges that aren’t well understood. The findings underline the importance of making care more inclusive and culturally sensitive and provide useful insights to improve policies and support for diverse ageing populations.
