Summary

This article explores how social support, care burden, and internalised stigma affect family carer of patients with schizophrenia in southwest China. The study found that when carers receive strong social support, it can help reduce the burden they feel and lower the stigma they may internalise. Social support can help to improve family functioning and reduce feelings of depression.
