As part of the CKE Online Symposium 2026, this panel discussion explores the experiences of carers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and refugee backgrounds, highlighting current research, challenges and opportunities for improving support. Facilitated by Lukas Hofstätter (Carers NSW), the session features Dr Ash Chauhan, Professor Reema Harrison, Professor Abner Poon, who share research, policy and practice perspectives on culturally responsive care, access to services, and the support needs of CALD and refugee carers.
