Long Summary

This article examines how women respond to receiving a cancer diagnosis themselves and how they then navigate care relationships post-diagnosis. One of the main findings was in regard to how women experience their diagnosis in response to their male partners. Additionally, this study explores how women navigate care post-diagnosis and the role that gender and emotions play in this.
