Long Summary

Although young carers experience several challenges associated with their roles, little is known about the current effects of those challenges on their education, work, and social life. Based on findings from 25 interviews and a focus group discussion, this qualitative study presents insights into the effects of providing informal care on the lives of young carers and their support-seeking behaviour.
