This position statement outlines some of the difficulties carers have faced throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing on policy and media analysis, carer case studies, and ongoing consultation with carers and other stakeholders. The position statement discusses the various impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on those providing ongoing care, including impacts on health, wellbeing, work and finances, as well as difficulties encountered when accessing formal services.
