This article explores the experiences of carers who are providing end-of-life care to a family member or friend with dementia. The research conducted provides a range of recommendations for palliative care policy and services, including the recommendation of implementing a more holistic, tailored approach to supporting people with dementia, their carers, and wider family networks, throughout the periods leading up to the care recipient's death, as well as the challenges faced beyond bereavement.
