Summary

During disasters, carers often have the responsibility of assisting the person they care for, as well as ensuring their own safety. This article explores the impact of disasters on carers of people with disability, and reveals that whilst individuals with disability are becoming increasingly included in disaster risk reduction, their carers are still often overlooked.
