This article addresses the unique challenges that young carers faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. For example, the increase in caring responsibilities that many young carers experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic or the ongoing disadvantages this group of carers experienced due to COVID-19. This article therefore recognises the need to mitigate mental health risks for young carers moving forward.
